01 Birth of the Dealer
From humble design origins and late nights at the poker table, the Card Dealer 3000 has come a long way in its development. We are less than thrilled to share with you the original rough design for the dealer, but we are more than happy to share with you how this preliminary design has grown into the dealer we all know and love.

02 Card Shoe and Picker
The first goal of the design of the Card Dealer 3000 was the ability to reliably draw a card from a card shoe. A custom card shoe was designed to fit a deck of cards and tilt them by 30 degrees from vertical for easy removal. A mounted stepper armed with a printer gripper allows for cards to be easily drawn from the deck. A spring-loaded triangular block with a handle was attached to the rear of the shoe to force the card deck to the front of the shoe as cards are drawn.

03 The Flip
In order to deal certain casino card games, it is necessary to flip cards face up. The Card Dealer 3000's timing belt system allows for quick transitions between cards dealt ace up and face down. A timing belt mounted to both the card shoe block and a two-sprocket system allows for the card shoe to move back and forth rapidly. The ramp below the card shoe is mounted with a flipping bar, so the location of the card shoe determines whether the drawn card will be dealt face up or face down.
